Free musical brain stimulation app

Brain.fm is a music app designed to assist in a number of situations. The music is created by an AI specifically designed to increase an individual's focus, relaxation or tiredness.

Musical science

Designed by experts in auditory brain stimulation, Brain.fm aims to mix theoretical research with real world music to help people enter a deeper brain state. Users create a profile with a few pieces of information and then choose the type of music they want. This can be to help relax, focus or sleep. Music is then created by the app's AI in a way designed to help each of these activities. The sounds are simple electronic tunes and melodies in general, which do appear to have a positive impact. The creators of Brain.fm are still actively involved in research and development, changing their code to fit in with scientific understanding of the effect music has on people. The app is available as a free or paid subscription, with the free version having a limit to the number of sessions available.

Ongoing development

Brain.fm is an interesting take on a musical aid. The program learns from your responses and supposedly ends up with a detailed, tailored musical program. Those using it as a daily work aid will need to upgrade from the free version's rather restricted session numbers.
